Employee Parking Cash Out Incentive

As part of ongoing efforts to reduce the number of single-occupancy vehicle trips coming to and from campus each day, the Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) is offering $425 to the first 50 eligible employees who give up their parking registration and commit to a sustainable commute for the entire 2018-2019 academic year. This program is a Smart Commute initiative designed to help reduce parking demand and help meet the university’s Climate Action Plan goals.

The incentive will not be paid until the end of the academic year.  It is considered as reportable income and will be fully taxable.

In June 2019, DOTS will create a non-standard appointment for the eligible employees who have elected to participate.
